After all, a lot of breweries cannot sell their products. A brewery has now found a creative solution so that the barley juice does not spoil. Freistadt beer was sitting on a mountain of beer and didn’t know what to do with it. The brewery has made its customers an unusual offer so that at least the landlords do not get stuck on it.
The brewery now took back all the beer that the bars did not sell in the autumn. They picked it up again and credited 100 per cent of the amount to her customers. They can redeem this credit for the following order. The innkeepers were delighted, but they have wondered what will happen to the old beer? As expected, some of it will be destroyed, but not all of it because Freistadt beer has come up with something. Together with a partner, they proceed the beer into a new product.
Beer Turns Into High-Proof
A whiskey factory produces schnapps from the beer. That is then stored in barrels and distilled. Some of it turns into a liqueur. So three different products are made from beer. It is a beer whiskey, a smoked beer brandy and a beer liqueur. After the beer problem, which was about to expire, became public, numerous beer friends signed up and offered to drink the supplies for free. They selflessly stated that they wanted to help so that the beer would not spoil. Another brewery had something similar in mind. On April 1, they placed an advertisement for job advertisements in a carnival newspaper. They told the readers that they are looking for volunteers to ensure that the beer stocks no longer for sale are drunk. Those responsible got hundreds of offers. They then had to admit the fun and thanked them for the numerous selfless requests from beer lovers.
Foreign Beer Is Demand
Meanwhile, Germany is currently experiencing a boom in imported beers. As a beverage magazine found out, brands like Budweiser, Corona Extra and Heineken are experiencing a new boom. Apparently, in the current crisis, consumers like to grab high-priced beers and indulge in a bit of variety. The closure of the catering trade is affecting here. The supermarkets in the country have long recognized this trend and advertise these beers at promotional prices. The Czech brand Budweiser was able to grow by a massive 22 per cent in Germany.
